The "Article" function of Adobe Acrobat
The papers which we provide often appear in the standard format of scientific papers, printed in two columns. This format is often not easy to read on a monitor.
The "Article" function of your Acrobat software (edited by Adobe) solves this problem. It can be used in the following way:
- When the pointer is in the text of the article, if it does not appear as a hand containing a down-pointing arrow, the "hand tool" is not selected. In this case, it is necessary to switch to the "hand tool" by doing this: put the cursor in the text, right click on the mouse and select the "hand tool" by clicking on the hand icon.
- When the pointer is inside the text of the article, it becomes a hand containing a down-pointing arrow. If you click, or if you press the Enter key, you advance to the next article section, automatically.
- If you hold the shift key down, when the pointer is inside the text of the article, it becomes a hand containing a up-pointing arrow. If you click, or if you press the Enter key, you move backward to the previous article section, automatically.
- The selection of the proper magnification of article boxes can be done by choosing File>Preference>General in order to open the General Preferences dialog box, in which one should pick an appropriate value for the parameter Max "Fit Visible" Magnification. With our monitors, a value of 200 is suitable.
