Electrical interconnections
Multipair cables for high data-rate links

     EMC computations and measurements concerning balanced high data-rate links implemented in UTP and STP telecommunication cables require that some special questions be addressed, which are dealt with in:

     A more detailed theory comprising a deterministic approach and a statistical approach, introduced in

[B67] F. Broydé, E. Clavelier , "Crosstalk in Balanced Interconnections Used for Differential Signal Transmission", IEEE Trans. Circuits Syst. I: Regular Papers, Vol. 54, No. 7, July 2007, pp. 1562-1572,

gives a good description of crosstalk in balanced interconnections.

     Some of the particular computation methods presented in these papers are implemented in our SpiceLine software. Downloading the User's Guide of SpiceLine (as a Adobe Acrobat .pdf file, 199 kB) which provides a lot of additional explanations (besides, it is written in English).
